What is SEAFOX?
Founded in 2016 by Dr. Luis Básaca, SEAFOX is a student-led team from CETYS School of Engineering. Their goal? To design and manufacture a high-performance ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) that will compete in the MATE ROV World Championship 2025, where teams from around the globe solve real-world problems using underwater robotics.
With the motto “Diving Deep for Innovation,” SEAFOX is not only creating technology but shaping the next generation of STEM leaders in our region.

Por eso, hoy estamos orgullosos de anunciar nuestro patrocinio oficial de la Iniciativa SEAFOX, un proyecto que nace en CETYS Universidad y que está formando a los futuros líderes de la ingeniería mediante la robótica submarina.
¿Qué es SEAFOX?
Fundado en 2016 por el Dr. Luis Básaca, SEAFOX es un equipo representativo de la Escuela de Ingeniería de CETYS Universidad, cuya misión es diseñar y fabricar un ROV (vehículo operado remotamente) para competir en el Campeonato Mundial MATE ROV 2025.
Con el lema “Diving Deep for Innovation”, SEAFOX no solo busca innovar tecnológicamente, sino también inspirar a nuevas generaciones a involucrarse en STEM (ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas).

Este grupo de estudiantes trabaja en soluciones reales para monitoreo ambiental, rescates, mantenimiento de infraestructura subacuática y más—todo con un enfoque práctico y sustentable.
